A parish wants to answer when someone asks for care. This module keeps every request in one queue, so staff can see what is open and who has it.
How requests arrive
- A parishioner or a visitor fills out an online form: a prayer request, a home blessing, or a wish to speak with a priest.
- Staff can also add a request by hand with New request.
- Only staff who hold the Outreach and Care role can open the queue. The parish chooses who may read what each form collects.
What the pastoral team can do
- See what is new, in progress and scheduled, and how old the oldest new request is.
- Filter by type and by status. Types are prayer, pastoral follow-up, home blessing, visit the sick, speak with a priest and other. Show mine or unassigned.
- Assign a request to a person, or to yourself with one click. Choose a priest or deacon, and set a visit date.
- Reply to the family by email. If the person opted out of parish email, the app saves the reply and says that it did not send.
- Keep notes that only staff read. A timeline records each note, reply and change.
- Export the open prayer list as a CSV or PDF file.
- Follow a link from an email straight to the request.
